Spaceman Spiff, Radical J, Rush Hour and Roo all went out for a beautiful day of summer sailing on the Bay this past Saturday for the Shearwater Twilight race. The breeze was up with gusts to 20 shortly before the start at 5:25pm. Breeze was consistent out of the south…definitely jib weather!

The Shearwater SC sent us over to the Eastern Shore to R88, then up toward the Bridge to R90, then back to R88, with a finish at the Annapolis weather buoy. Spaceman Spiff finished first with the Rush Hour coming in second. Congrats Spiff!

The Shearwater SC Twilight race is this Sat, June 17 and registration is open! Only $40 and a fun evening out on the water down around Thomas Point and government marks. Rendezvous is usually at R2 at 1600 hrs and you’re home before dark! Link to registration is below.

• Our fleet is entirely volunteer driven, but not everything in life is free of course. We run and manage two websites, a Facebook group, a twitter account and email campaigns for the ECC, trying to support and grow our fleet in Annapolis.
• Your dues also offset the costs of Fleet Parties, where you get to know the people you race against! And, $35 is a pretty good rate for a couple of summer brews and snacks on the house!
